What an amazing project to be a part of. I Guest Star as JUDY COOPER in the first episode of “My Generation”, a new TV series on ABC. The show premiers on ABC Thursday, September 23 @ 8/7central. In the first episode, I play opposite Kelli Garner and Keir O’Donnell and will be 8 months pregnant with flippy hair and a chipper disposition. My first experience with a documentary style three-camera shoot, I had so much fun diving into the freedom of more ‘being’ and less ‘calculating’, as is often the case with traditional feature shoot styles. The show’s creator, Noah Hawley, has written a brilliant script and the Producers have put together a dynamic cast and crew. Episode 1 was directed by Michael Katleman, who has an amazing sense of raw, dynamic, truthful action. I have no doubt this show is going to be a super success. I feel fortunate to be a part of it. (Sending intentions that my character will be written back in! Hey, it happens ;)
You can see good clips from the pilot and detailed info here. The official trailer is here.

shh.. don't tell. Tom Lagleder and I chill in the jacuzzi while Jenn Gotzon and John Schneider chat about the scene. We're working... honest!
More photos from “Doonby”!
Doonby is a $2M feature shot in Smithville, TX. We shot the ‘jacuzzi scene’ from 7pm to 7am. My main scene (with John Schneider) shot around 6:00am after being up all night, but it was no big deal since I had such fun company and great talent surrounding me.
I anticipate the film to be completed by mid-fall 2010. I look forward to revisiting this project at the premiere!
I play “Marci” in Corruption.gov, a feature film Directed by Q Manning and stars Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs), Joe Estevez, Lee Majors, Francesco Quinn.
The trailer is up on Ranch Studios’ website. Release date and method is in the works!
“Vicky & Sam” is showing at the 2010 Rhode Island International Film Festival during August 10-15, 2010. I plan to attend and will be taking lots of photos and absorbing lots of fresh, cool, NE coast air.
One Saturday in July, Jay Galvan and I went filming in downtown Austin- 4th street warehouse district to be precise. We had two differing goals that could be achieved in the same project, the perfect symbiosis. Both a test of the low light sensitivity of the 7D DSLR camera as well as an opportunity for me to work out a new character in a simple scene, we shot this with one camera, no lights, hand-held and on the fly. We plan to develop a story-line with this character and plan to shoot a few more tests within the next month. I want to include more people on the street – engaging strangers is always fun (and truthful).
You can see the video here and also under “watch” in the links above.
I have a supporting role in a feature film called Doonby, shooting this month. The film was written and is being directed by Peter Mackenzie. The cast is an amazing group of actors - John Schneider, Robert Davi, Will Wallace, Jenn Gotzon, Joe Estevez and, of course, many others talents!
Here is a photo from our last “crowded bar scene” and Ernie Hudson’s last day on set.

Below is the Katy House, run by Sallie and Bruce, the most generous couple one could hope to find wandering on location. Sallie hosted the principal cast at the house so we didnt need to wait in trailers or tents the whole day. It was good to have a ‘home front’ to camp out for most of the day. Thanks again, Sallie and Bruce!
In the film, I play a swinger who is intrigued with Sam Doonby’s charisma as well as integrity. Below is myself and my on-screen hubby, Tom Lagleder in full costume.
Sallie always gets pictures with the cast of films that come through her house. This is our token “fireplace mantel” shot with her :)
There’s a lot of meandering and waiting to shoot on any set. Smithville has a particularly interesting vibe, a small town chill that can only be felt, not described. I’m quite happy to slow down and wait around in Smithville, TX.
Waiting in my trailer, I often took off my red heels, which then became interesting subject matter.
And this is the woman who put me in those shoes :)
I found out at the end of the day why people were asking Scotti (below) for guitar picks while we chat. He is co-guitarist for Skid Row (and an awesome dude as well!)
After the bar scene wrap, there was a small afterparty at the Tamble’s House, the location where I’ll shoot my next scenes May 31, June 1. Im ready to go back to Smithville and see everyone again!

Look for the film early 2011!
I am in a commercial spot for KGSR. Just found out it showed 7 times during the Season 6 Finale – woohoo!
Its fast, like 1 second screen time, but the whole spot is fun! I got a random email from them (still not sure how I got on that list), they explained the concept, sounded good, trust the local station’s integrity, walked in at 12:50, held up white board and played around with that till 1:05 and was out! Fastest shoot ever. Thanks, KGSR!
A most fantastic music video I was honored to be a part of is premiering at Encore this Saturday, March 20 @ 4pm. The director is Laura Wallgren, founder of Make Love Music (you should friend her, she’s great :), the band is called Transfer and the video is for the song Get Some Rest. They are showing the video before Transfer’s set at 4pm. I have only seen screenshots, and I must say im pretty stoked about it!! The event in its entirety is a two day lineup (SAT, SUN March 20, 21) with bands (of course, this is SXSW), good food by Root and good vibes by all. Emphasis on the good vibes, as the crew putting it together is super stellar good stuff.
Listen to Transfer’s new album, Future Selves.
Obscure Magpie Music, Club Encore, & Old Flame Record Present the “TWO HEADED PARTY” at CLUB ENCORE on 611 Red River Street in Austin, Texas on March 20th from Noon-6pm, and March 21st from Noon-6pm. BOTH inside and outside stages, amazing customized lighting by RED STAR PRODUCTIONS, free admission, and ROOTS will be Party-Q’n up their famous award winning CANDY LEGS & BUDDA POPS!
I hope you will come in the midst of the SXSW crazy!

From the short film, Vicky & Sam. My, I look interested.
Vicky & Sam is a story about three writers who discover that their stories are being played out in real time. The lead characters, Vicky and Sam, enter the diner, exactly as described in the writer’s brainstorm session. As the three writers toy with the concept of two real people doing whatever they declare, of course they get out of hand and danger ensues. I play a writer. The two other writers, my co-stars, are played by Daniel Moore and Luke Francis. Definitely check them out!
The film is directed by Nuno Rocha, a director from Portugal (and, as I find out on set, a magician as well! :) I recommend checking out his work – he’s doing great stuff!
