A bit about LUPO, the character I play in “Operation Raccoon City”, a Resident Evil inspired short film by Blue Goggles Films on their show De-Pixelated in association with GameTrailers.com.

Once an experienced French Special Forces op, Karena LesProux left soldering to live a normal family life. But this, as it seems, was not meant to be as family problems arose and she was forced to kill her husband after he tried hurting their children, she got off without charges tough and after she failed to live as single mother as well she returned to working as a private contractor, protecting, controlling and killing for the highest bidder, that is until Umbrella noticed her and secured her services.

Currently Karena LesProux leads Umbrella Security Service Delta Team demanding the same discipline and obedience that she expects from her own children, this is why she is called the “Wolf Mother”.

Apocalypse. Lupo and Shona (US Military) are in a private battle inside an abandoned schoolhouse.  They are not the only ones after each other’s throats; zombies, hunters and tyrants want in on the game. With just a few bullets left and one grenade, Lupo and Shona must join forces in order for either of them to escape these predators alive. Though what happens in the aftermath.. stays in the aftermath.

The trailer and poster for “BIT Parts” has been released by Blue Goggles Films.  I am thrilled to say the least about being cast as a lead character, Agent Zero.

Film: Doonby
Location: Smithville, TX
Synopsis: Sam Doonby, is a happy-go-lucky drifter who takes up residence in a small Texas town but seems suspiciously immune to the misfortunes that beset the other townsfolk.

I have a supporting role in this film, written and directed by Peter Mackenzie. Stellar cast:  John SchneiderRobert DaviWill WallaceJenn GotzonJoe Estevez and many others talents.

Here is a photo from our last “crowded bar scene” and Ernie Hudson’s last day on set.

Doonby Castorama! From left: Myself, Tom Lagleder, Dwayne, Lizabeth Waters, John Schneider, Jenn Gotzon, Ernie Hudson, Brandi Blevins

We often hung out at the Katy House, run by Sallie and Bruce, the most generous couple one could hope to find wandering on location.  Sallie hosted the principal cast at the house so we didnt need to wait in trailers or tents the whole day.  It was good to have a ‘home front’ to camp out for most of the day.  Thanks again, Sallie and Bruce!

In the film, I play a swinger who is intrigued with Sam Doonby’s charisma as well as integrity.  Below is myself and my on-screen hubby, Tom Lagleder in full costume.

Swingers on set

Sallie always gets pictures with the cast of films that come through her house.  This is our token “fireplace mantel” shot with her :)

Look for the film early 2011!

“Please Hang Up and Try Again” is a romantic drama based on the perspective of phone conversations, we follow three lovelorn individuals: one who ends a tattered relationship, one who longs for a past love and one who seductively initiates a new tryst. I play Rachel, the seductive initiator.

This film, Directed by Eduardo A. Garcia and Produced by Kalyn Blacklock at kE Films is scheduled to be released Fall 2011.

Dean Fredrick, bad ass custom jewelry designer based in Austin, TX presents a film trailer that featured at his annual Austin Fashion Week party.  The film is Directed by Phillip Guzman and the decadent Costumes are by Gypsy Sun Vintage.

The trailer is really fun.  I think rather than a description, you should watch it to see what happens!

I just finished principle shooting of a short film called “American Dreams”.  The film, inspired by true events of Italian writer/director Gaia Bonsignore, is a story about two girls, Lisa and Diana, and their search for the “American Dream”, both having quite opposing ideas of what that is and how to achieve it.  Diana, played by Jacqueline Leal, seeks freedom in support and stability of a marriage that has inevitably lost its love. Lisa, my character, is an anarchist protester who finds freedom in running and retaining an uprooted status, constantly fighting for the cause of the moment.

It was an amazingly ambitious shoot (a super low budget that opens with a street riot scene, which achieved superb footage from what Ive seen).  It also provided an opportunity for me to work on a more gritty/ street kid character, as ive been seeking.

I just finished a fun (and funny) country music video with the band Fred Andrews & Honeybrowne (Facebook Fanpage Link).  The song is called “Beautiful Waste of Time”.  I play the waste of time…  Somebody’s gotta do it ;)

Shot in one day, this video was Directed and Edited by Jay Galvan, Produced by Dan Grosser and features the lovely Tina Rodriguez and Carlos Gacharna of DirtyBill’s Bar in Austin, TX.

Fred Andrews & Honeybrowne are at #23 on the Texas charts and climbing!

Photo shoot with “Blood & Glitter” makeup artist Wendy Sanders and photographer Steve DeMent under the theme “Austin Pinups”.

Jay Galvan shot this as a behind-the-scenes look at transformation from makeup chair to pinup flair. This video was submit to “One Day On Earth”, documenting a collaborative of the world’s story on 10-10-10.

Here is a behind-the-scenes look at the shoot as it unfolded.

Here is a clip from Episode 2 (first after pilot) of ABC’s “My Generation”.

Marfa, Texas… sigh~  What a unique place to visit and amazing place to shoot a film.  While shooting as the lead the feature film “Far Marfa”, my inner photographer was rekindled.  Armed with an iPhone I could hide in my boot, the Hipstamatic App and being on set at all times, I was able to capture the essence of the amazing characters involved in this project.

Marfa is welcoming, indeedy

I was welcomed in Marfa with the cutest casita.

Biking is a way of life.. good thing!

The event in its entirety is a two day lineup (SAT, SUN March 20, 21) with bands (of course, this is SXSW), good food by Root and good vibes by all. Emphasis on the good vibes, as the crew putting it together is super stellar good stuff.

A screenshot from the short film, Vicky & Sam.

From the short film, Vicky & Sam. My, I look interested.

Vicky & Sam is a story about three writers who discover that their stories are being played out in real time.  The lead characters, Vicky and Sam, enter the diner, exactly as described in the writer’s brainstorm session.  As the three writers toy with the concept of two real people doing whatever they declare, of course they get out of hand and danger ensues.  I play a writer.  The two other writers, my co-stars, are played by Daniel Moore and Luke Francis. Definitely check them out!

The film is directed by Nuno Rocha, a director from Portugal (and, as I find out on set, a magician as well! :)  I recommend checking out his work – he’s doing great stuff!
